Missional Thought for the Day...




My idea for a missional focus is to somehow connect with the latino population in North PDX. My idea came from Maria who sells us tamales at our house each week. She speaks a little english, but when she is here we speak spanish. I have been thinking about my time in Guatemala and how it would be nice to continue that service to the "chapins" in my community here in Portland. It's a broad idea, but one that has been festering for a while. Buena suerte!

We've been talking with the Mirandas about simple community action and will discuss more wed night.

I was thinking we could start going out as a community in place of our potluck nights. The summer seems a good time to do this. I'm open to ideas as to what even we participate in.
