Hey Ladies. . .

Just wanted to post a reminder that tomorrow night is our turn for a ladies night out. We will be meeting at the Peil's at 6:30pm and heading to Evangel for the Ladies night healing journey meeting. Check out the post about it at:
http://imagodeicommunity.com/article/womens-healing-journey

I think this is going to be a very insightful night into many of the women in our greater Imago community's places suffering and healing. It will be good to share in this as a group so that we can lift each other and those around us up in this area as well as open the door for more conversation about this.
Please make every effort to be on time so that we can arrive promptly at Evangel at 7pm.
Thanks!

retreat...

Hey guys..
I stayed in this beautiful, fun filled house this weekend. It was only 1 1/2 hours beyond Mt. Hood. Just an idea as it's jam packed with bedrooms and activities. Have a look. It would be $168 inclusive of all charges (cleaning fee etc.) http://www.fiveironlodge.com/default.php

Memorial Day Weekend

our family has a little tradition of heading south for memorial day. by tradition i mean that this is the second year we've decided to implement this plan. in the past i've been pregnant.

so it's a new tradition, but it's tradition none the less.

we're going to be at a camp ground near grants pass. every memorial day, the town has Boatnik- and the WORLD FAMOUS WHITE WATER HYDROPLANE RACE! it's totally crazy and very fun to watch.

i'm going to book a couple of campsites and probably a yert too. the campground i'm trying to get into is indian mary and it's right on the river. if you guys are interested in joining us, let me know and i'll make sure that the reservations are taken care of. the plan is to head south on friday at noon (the 25th) and come home on monday the 28th.

***edited to say that i called to make the reservations and to hold two campsites and a yert is $196. we can have up to 6 people in each site and 2 cars per site. each additional car is $5 a night. i'd like to get a headcount before i pay the money to make the reservations. the sites (and especially the yert) are going to go extremely fast- the guy actually suggested i call in the morning to get the sites that i requested (which are on the edge of the property and closest to the river).

on that note, is it possible to get a head count of those who are interested and think they would be able to make the trip?

snow cruising

hey folks. I am requesting a favor-
Jason dropped me off today, and now he has to work late. Could someone pick me up at my office on their way to HC? My office is at 3719 N Williams Street, which is basically the intersection of Williams and Freemont. You know, well within gun-shot range of the Peils.

I'd appreciate it-call my cell if you can help out please. 503.250.1659

See you tonight.
Holly

Men's Purity forum postponed

According to the Imago website,

"Due to the inclimate weather, we are postponing the Forum. The meeting will now be held on Wednesday, January 24 at 7 p.m."

Because of this, I will probably work late and not make it to group, however, fear not. My lovely wife will still be joining you.

Take care, and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Jason

Tuesday evening plans?

hey NOPO-HC we're having a winter dinner tonight. We wanted to have everyone over for a roast and some beverages, possibly followed by a walk in the white stuff, or a movie... really whatever. We're going to try and eat around 6, but the house will be open prior to (for anyone that might have the day off, or only worked half day)... like myself [it's dangerous out there]. feel free to come over whenever.

So email and let us know if you can make it. if anyone wanted to bring a salad, or dessert, that would help.

Prayer

Hey guys . . I spoke with Juany today. I was hoping you could prayer for him and his family. It doesn't look like his grandma is going to live much longer. They have given her no more than a day or two. Even though she is going to a much better place she is going to be missed here and this will be a huge loss for the family. Your prayers would be appreciated.

Friday night snowboarding?

I know we talked about some different options for the guys to hang out tomorrow night, but I'm wondering if people would be into a little late night snowboarding?

It's kind of a bad night to try and go night riding, as Friday traffic is not friendly and all, but they mountain is open until 11 and it's only $20...

I'm open for whatever, and of course, girls are always invited to the mountain...

President's Address

Hey guys. . .
Our honored and beloved President is addressing the nation tonight in regard to the Iraq war. The address starts at 6pm. If you are interested in coming early to hear the address Tom and Rae Ann have agreed to open up their home for us to all watch it together. We will be cooking a pizza and have other snacks. Feel free to come and bring something to share.
See you all tonight!

monday night prayer

okay, sorry guys, but this one's for us girls.

every other monday night, i host monday night prayer. a group of women from the irvington neighborhood (and other areas as well) have been meeting on monday nights for years. the group has morphed and changed more times than i can count, but it's always been such a huge blessing in my life.

if you're interested, we'll be getting together this monday (the 15th) here at our place. it starts at 7pm and i like to try to have it wind up by 9pm. you can come and pray, be prayed for, or just observe. there's no pressure. sometimes just being around other God-fearing women is blessing enough.

No Po Retreat

Sick of sounds of gun fire ringing in your ears?? The sirens singing their forboding song?? Let's retreat and go to the peace of the Mountain!
Juany and I were thinking it might be a bit easier to stay a little closer to home so we were looking at places on Mt. Hood to host a little No Po HC retreat.
Check out this link: http://www.vrbo.com/105596#morephotos
This would be a beautiful spot that would be able to accomodate all of us. It would be only about a 45min. drive and would run about $185 per couple for the whole weekend (don't worry - you would get your own room too).
We were looking at having the retreat the weekend of the 24th or 30th of March. Check your calendars and let me know what you think.
Looking forward to getting away with all of you. And if you miss the sounds of gun fire I am sure Juany and Tom would be more than happy to arrange some target shooting so we all feel more at home.

First Wed

Hey everyone, looking forward to seeing you all tonight. As talking a while back about possibly a movie night or something of the sort, I have a little something for tonight while were fellowshiping and eat'n. Its only about 30 minutes long, so not a big devotion of time. I'll talk more about it tonight when were all at the house. Again, looking forward to hearing how everyones holildays were. And a reminder, ARE WE DOING THE "SLUFFING A GIFT" exchange?...

Talk with you all soon.
