i'm not sure if emme and juany contacted anyone yet, but i think we're going to cancel for tonight. our girls are super sick (ivy is getting over pneumonia and SJP has a chest cold and a fever), juany and emme have plans and they said that jason and holly are out of town. and if i remember correctly, chris and courtney still have the brits at their house.

overall, it seems like it would just be easier to reconnect in the new year.

so the next time we'll have HC will be on the 3rd and that's a first wednesday which means potluck! so on that note, who wants to bring what?

also, we talked about having a swap of our most useless christmas gifts. are you guys still up for that?

we sure miss everyone. hope you guys had a good holiday and that everyone has rockin' new years plans! i have a gut feeling we'll ring in 2007 with snotty noses and a cranky toddler.

We would like to apologize for not making it last night. Chris left a message for Juany but he had already left the office. I'm sorry we didn't contact someone else to let you guys know we couldn't make it! Chris has been working crazily to be able to have some time off and he worked late last night. Sorry we missed it. Hope everyone has a great holiday if we don't see you!

It has three criteria:

They have three things in common in order to qualify: great presentation value (bonus points for heavy glass); great taste that is way above their actual price; and under $20 retail.

Just thought I'd share since we all like wine; and it's nice to have a few good, yet not expensive, wines in the pantry for busting out on those 'special' occasions.

It's got 7 bedrooms and 7.5 baths. Hot tub. All the fixings.

It's not cheap, and it's filled through February, but we could get it in March. Probably around $500 a night (which is the friendly, for-church-group price).

I don't really care one way or the other, but I thought I'd through it out there for at least a starting point to get the conversation going. I just hope we go somewhere.

When I woke up Sunday morning, I was overwhelmed by the manifestation of the previous night's festivities. After breakfast and a cup of coffee, I felt a lot better.

However, one thing that has stayed with me was what a wonderful birthday it was, and I literally could not think of a better way to turn 31. I'm so thankful I got to spend it with you all, and truly had a blast. Thanks to everyone for doing all the work that went into it, and I can't wait to see you all on Wednesday. Here's to communal living!!!

I just wanted to say "WELL DONE" to all for a successful NOPOgressive dinner! Everyone outdid themselves in wonderful food and hospitality. It was so fun to spend time with everyone in their homes. Every time we get to spend more time with you guys Bryan and I feel so blessed to be a part of this Home Community... and now that we know where you all live, we can just stop by whenever we want!! :) just kidding...well, not really.

The McMenamin's Chapel Pub is opening tonight! Yipppeeee! For all that are interested Jonathan and I are going to head up there for dinner tonight and cold beverages (or warm depending on your taste). Come join in as we celebrate this momentous occasion in NOPO! We will plan to head up there about 6:30pm.

Hey gang! Wanted to give you the details about the Advent local initiatives gift giving. We have signed up to help purchase and distribute gifts to the local families we will be reaching out to this advent. Instead of our weekly home community on Dec. 20th, we will meet at Evangel. We will be given funds collected from the Advent offering and sent out with a list to purchase gifts for the families. We will then return to Evangel and help wrap the gifts as well as distribute them to the families in the area.
