just wanted to let you guys know that i'm going to throw together another batch of turkey soup for dinner tomorrow night so come hungry. i'll try a little harder to have it done at 6pm so feel free to come anytime after that and snag a bowl.

i also have a leftover pumpkin torte so we can have that for dessert.

Margaret and I are meeting with several people from Imago and World Venture to continue to sort out the details regarding our desire to go to Africa. The doors keep opening and we both feel that we are being lead in this direction. It has been an exciting and intimidating process. Our hope is that God continues to open doors or slam them shut. (We just want clarity) If you think of it, please pray for us. Our meeting is Monday night at 7:00pm. Thanks!

... and we just finished loading the dishwasher. the girls are still peacefully sleeping and tom and i are on cloud nine. our house hasn't been empty even 20 minutes and we can't stop talking about how much we dig you guys. as soon as i shut the door behind emme tonight, tom looked at me and said, "we have the coolest friends ever!" he's so right. you guys rock and we're totally in awe of how God's blessed us through you all.

i think we could be your biggest fans. i know, we're total geeks. can't wait for next week...

so... i'm making a big ol' pot of turkey veggie soup. carrots, celery, potatoes... the works. i know wednesday nights are hard for people to scarf down dinner and still get here by 6.30pm so if you enjoy the above listed ingredients, feel free to come anytime after 6pm and grab a bowl of soup and a warm biscuit. if you can't make it earlier, don't fret. i'll leave the soup on the stove and you're welcome to fill a bowl whenever you get here.

jason and holly... if you've already made or picked up something for tonight, please still feel free to bring it because i'm sure we'll all enjoy it. if not, don't sweat it.

So everyone reserve Saturday, December 16th for our Home Community Progressive Dinner Event (using capitals makes it very official) - We will figure out the details in the weeks to come but wanted to remind everyone to put the date on their calendar. It should be be a great way to add some festive to the season!!!

Ok, so I wanted to say that I too, will be missing you all. And I agree with Holly's thoughts, it seems like a long time to not see ya'll.

I'd love to hear all your thoughts on this, since we recently talked about tithing, and this is at the very least, a novel approach. I have mixed feelings, and it's hard to judge without hearing the pastor introduce their intentions. But, as I said, it's at least a conversation starter.

Unfortunately Jason and I will not be able to make it tonight. It's funny how at first, once a week seemed like such a commitment, and now I feel like not seeing everyone until next week will be a really long time. I'll be at Rae Ann's deal on Saturday though, so I'll see a couple of the gals at least.

Missed you all on Wednesday night. The opening night party for our salesmeeting wasn't nearly as fun as dinner with you all.
Though they did show us the new yet to be released Warren Miller film on Friday night. That was pretty 'sick' and definitely got me pumped for the new ski season.
Just wanted to give you all a quick update and thank you for your prayers this week. My big presentation went really well and I have gotten a lot of good feedback from it, though it was terribly nerve racking. My other 6 presentations over the last few days have been successful as well. I am glad now it is over and am completely beat.
Thanks for all your prayers and I must thank my wonderful husband for his support this week and patients with his stressed out wife.
Please continue to pray though as there a some major changes now happening again at work that definitely impact my position.
Things only seem to get crazier.

They offered us a two month contract at 20 hours a week. Very decent compensation, and a great office space. We accepted and start on Monday.

I gotta go celebrate, tell you all about it soon, thanks so much for the prayers.

So, on Wednesday afternoon, a guy called me and was asking about what I did and what my availability was for work etc. Not that out of the blue if it was a client, but it was a web agency looking for some help.

Long story short, my programmer and I went in to meet this agency yesterday, and for some reason, they like us. We're going in at 2pm today to go over the proposal they want to offer Matt and I.

It will most likely be a proposal to do some contract work over the next few weeks/months, during which we'll work out of their office, help them on their projects, and also be able to finish up our own existing clients. If things work out and we're happy, rinse and repeat.

The amazing part is, these guys are really good and pretty big. They are doing Weiden and Kennedy's new website, as well as have done and are doing some work for Starbucks. And there are only 4 of them at the moment, and we'll make 6.

So, obviously, I'm blindsided with glee. I'll keep you guys posted when I know more and after we hear about the offer, but I'm just really excited regardless.

Thanks for all your prayers on Unthirsty last week, I feel that they are coming true in a totally different way this week.

Hey Guys, (my first blog ever!)

Sorry I missed lastnight. I was running late and was tired. By the time I remembered that the Peel's had moved I was at their old address. I went back home to get the new address. I couldn't remember how to get on this site to get the address, and was still tired. I sat down in a fairly comfortable chair and couldn't get out of it until I went to bed. I lookforward to seeing you next week.

Please pray for me that the construction goes efficiently and quickly. Also pray that procrastination does not get the better of my mid-term homework.

Something I've heard other hc have done is a girls or guys night. It would be great to be able to spend time together outside of Wednesday's to continue to grow and get to know one another. It would be fun to have a night out, Christmas shopping and lunch, guys poker night... just a few ideas! What are your thoughts?
